Aviator’s Place is a 70-bed student hostel owned and operated by the New Zealand Airline Academy. Conveniently located in the heart of Oamaru Town, it offers easy access to all local amenities and is just a 15-minute drive from the flight academy.
Both directors of the New Zealand Airline Academy experienced life in New Zealand as international students during their own flight training. Drawing from their personal journeys, they understood the challenges of adapting to a new culture and environment—especially when balancing the demands of flight training within a short 10–12 month period.
Motivated by these insights, they created Aviator’s Place (AP)—a fully catered student accommodation designed to help trainees stay focused on their studies without the stress of cooking or cleaning.
